Our range of Beaujolais wines

One of the distinctive features of the Beaujolais vineyard is that it produces wines known as “single-varietal wines.”

Our Beaujolais red and rosé wines

A single grape variety, Gamay, is used for all 12 appellations of red and rosé wines in the vineyard. This shows the richness of Gamay, the terroir, and the soils in our beautiful region!

It has been around since the 14th century, and the siliceous and granitic soils suit it perfectly, allowing it to give its very best here.

Its bunches develop juicy, medium-sized berries. Short pruning of the vines in winter and high vine density per hectare are the methods that enable it to produce very fruity, fresh and delicious red wines.

It is also known as Gamay noir à jus blanc. It produces fruity red wines with aromas of red and black fruits and a purplish color. After a few years of aging, these aromas evolve into notes of prunes and spices. The wines are slightly tannic and the natural evolution of the wine brings a silky texture on the palate.

Our Beaujolais white wine

Chardonnay

Chardonnay is the only grape variety used to make Beaujolais and Beaujolais Village Blanc. Its berries are golden yellow.

It thrives in the southern Beaujolais region. The Pierres Dorées terroir and its clay-limestone soil produce supple wines with aromas of citrus and white fruits.

A slight minerality gives them great freshness.

Our other wines

Viognier

At the estate, in addition to Gamay and Chardonnay, we grow Viognier. This is an ancient grape variety that was originally cultivated in the vineyards of Condrieu and Ampuis.

It is widely used for the production of single-varietal wines in the southern regions of France.

Viognier produces a white wine of excellent quality and great finesse. Highly fragrant, the wine is extraordinarily rich and supple, not to say smooth.

It is particularly rich in aroma (apricot, dried fruit, hawthorn blossom, mango, peach).

The diversity of ages of our vines and their locations allow us to make plot selections and reveal different aromas during vinification.
